Pillar – Awake

Posted on June 29th, 2010 by Tom Dewell  |  10 Comments »

Great song by Pillar, “Awake”. Lyrics: Midnight I’ve fallen fast asleep It’s daylight I can’t remember anything There’s so many questions that get in the way About this place I keep sleeping awake So wake me and tell me what you see And let me walk with you in the streets The streets with no name ’cause I feel far away I always fail to remember Why do I feel like I’m slipping away? Why do I feel so far away? Wake me up inside my dreams Just in time for me to believe Another morning chasing lies After another evening chasing skies So make tonight my reality So tomorrow I remember everything Why do I feel like I’m slipping away? Why do I feel so far away? Wake me up inside my dreams Just in time for me to believe Why do I feel like I’m slipping away? Why do I feel so far away? Wake me up inside my dreams Just in time for me to believe Why do I feel Like staying awake when I fall asleep? Why do I feel Like staying awake when I fall asleep? I don’t wanna feel The pain never ends ’cause it never begins It’s hard to believe these things I can’t see So I need to wake up inside my dreams Why do I feel like I’m slipping away? Why do I feel so far away? Wake me up inside my dreams Just in time for me to believe Why do I feel So far away? Why do I feel like slipping away? Wake me up inside my dreams Just in time

A Cure For Insomnia Can Be Really Simple

Posted on June 9th, 2010 by RXTZLP  |  No Comments »

When you have problems sleeping the quest for anything that will make you sleep can take over your life .

However just the fact of not sleeping well can
cause you to sleep even worse , making it even more difficult finding a cure for insomnia.

You worry about not being able to sleep – your worry makes you anxious and simply cannot relax .

Instead of winding down towards bedtime you start thinking about not falling asleep you see in your mind how you are going to toss and turn when you go to bed ….

You just know that when you wake up in the morning you’ll be shattered ….

You think about how many hours sleep you have lost lately ….

Does this sound familiar?

If so , then relax. You are not alone!

In fact , sleep researchers say that one of the first casualties of sleeping problemsis your ability to relax. And if you can’t relax it makes it much more difficult to prepare your body  for sleep. Most of us – the majority ! – can’t  fall asleep as if flicking a switch .  Yes, of course there are people that just fall asleep, as compared to those that toss  and turn for hours until finally dropping off .

Those lucky people   have the ability to unwind themselves in  the evening, to slow down their minds and their bodies,  disciplining   their thoughts and relaxing their muscles.

But most of us can’t, we have to practice relaxation.

Luckily this is perfectly possible for you to learn.

It’s not difficult , and it can be put into effect straight away.

Here are two really simple tips that might be all you need , you can even say these tips comprise a “beginners guide to a” cure for insomnia:

+    Don’t drink coffee or alcohol for about 2-4 hours before bedtime and create  a pattern of “winding down” in the evening, whilst you think about tomorrow When you finally get into bed you won’t then lie there thinking about tomorrow , worrying about  bills or shopping or what else to do – it has already been taken care of !

+     Establish a routine going to bed and getting up at the same time. Contrary to myth you can’t save sleep, but you can catch up on missing sleep . So even if you feel wiped out one morning, do get up , no naps during the day and you will most probably fall asleep more easily the next night.

This obviously is a pattern that will help you if you suffer from mild insomnia – if you have a severe difficulty with sleeping then you will need a more sophisticated cure for insomnia!
