Natural Sleep Remedies – The Way to Better Health

This blog has one goal: the be a forum for people who want to discuss the benefits of natural remedies to enhance sleep, or to overcome sleep related issues.

According to the National Sleep Foundation (NSF), along with studies done by the National Institute of Health (NIH), over 70 million people in the US alone suffer some sort of sleep problem.

That is about one person per household in the US. The numbers in the rest of the world are much bigger.

This is, however, not just about not sleeping. This is about the very serious HEALTH issues that come as a result of you not getting enough sleep. I’m talking serious stuff here, like heart disease, cancers, and a 1000 stress related problems.

I’m also talking about the huge cost to businesses from employees who are not really fit to work or who could be a danger to themselves and their co-workers. Want a sleep-deprived mechanic working on the airplane you’re about to get on? Or how about thinking that the guy behind the wheel of that 18-wheeler you’re passing on the freeway, with your kids in the back seat, may be about to doze off or have a sleep apnea attack while he’s driving 70 mph next to you.

The remedies I like best are natural and organic. One of my favorites are sound therapies. There are some great ones out there for adult sleep, and some very innovative ones for babies.
